Dewsbury details

Sunday's race at Dewsbury starts at 10am, near the Camira Fabrics factory, Hagg Lane, Mirfield, WF14 8HE. The course is 5.3 miles and it will be very muddy
There aren't any toilets nearby so please sort yourself out before you get to the start area. The coffee van will be there for your pre-race boost. Fancy dress is recommended and there will be prizes for the best efforts. Santa hat is a minimum requirement.
Car sharing is highly recommended. There is limited parking in the car park at the start/finish on Hagg Lane. For those of you going to the Flowerpot after the race we suggest that park on Station Road. You can then walk 5 minutes to the start. There will be signs and marshalls directing you to the start area, and parking generally.
If you are going to the Flowerpot please make sure you remove your (very, very, very) muddy shoes first.
Please note that there will be a cut off time of 35 minutes to reach the 2 mile marker. Anyone who does not get to the marker within that time will be re-directed to the start.

Baildon event details

Hi All.

Well, Race 1 has finally arrived and as current Champions, Baildon Runners, are delighted to host the first race on Sunday.17th November.

The race HQ is from Baildon Rugby Club, Jenny Lane, Baildon BD17 6SH. 

With the increase in the number of runners we ask that you please, please please car share. There is limited residential parking near the Rugby club as well as couple of small car parks at the club. Please do not block any driveways.

There is also a small car park at the Golf Club, further residential parking in the area behind and another small car park on the right, past the cattle grid. Please see attached map. 

The Rugby clubhouse will be open early for tea/coffee and number collection from your Club Rep. Please arrive in good time.

The race starts at 10.30am and is the same as last year on the beautiful Baildon Moor, near Baildon Golf Club which is a 5 minute jog from the Rugby Club HQ.


We have slightly amended the start which will hopefully ease the congestion of last year and will run up the side of the 18th Golf fairway. There is a competition on at the time of the race although we anticipate golfers will not have reached the 18th by 10.30am. 

They will however be using the nearby 1st tee and we ask that you respect our good friends at the Golf Club doing their chosen sport and keep away from that area.

There are limited changing facilities (usually for 30 rugby players!) with post race drinks and food in the Rugby clubhouse. Please remove/change your muddy running shoes. There will also be a raffle (we welcome any donations) and the race results announcements.

Stainland event details - 10am 3rd March

Race VenueHeath RUFC, North Dean, Stainland Road, Greetland, Halifax HX4 8LS

Car Parking: Parking is available at the Rugby Club and surrounding side streets, marshals will be on hand to direct you to a suitable place. To avoid congestion please car share where possible and do not park on the main road outside the rugby club.

Facilities: There are toilets and changing facilities at Heath. Teas and coffees will be available before the race and hot food, cakes and drinks available afterwards.

Please bring a change of shoes as no muddy shoes are allowed in the club house.

Course: The course is 5.7 miles long and is mainly on woodland paths and tracks. There are roots, rocks, fallen branches, steep muddy slopes, rivers and streams to cross and the infamous “Log Flume” as well as some short tarmac sections; so we have something for everyone.

Fell or Trail shoes are essential – please do not attempt to run with roadies. Please listen to and take notice of marshals’ instructions – they are there to ensure your safety. Anyone wearing headphones will be removed from the race for this reason.

Crossgates event details - 10th Feb @ 10am

Crossgates Harriers would like to announce our venue and route of race 5 Sunday 10th February 2019 race start 10am.
It’s a first for us at Crossgates to host an event in the Winter League, we don't profess to compete with previous events like the Beast for elevation but we have an old skool course of local cross country trail like the ones you did back in the day, fast, flat and muddy all 5.4miles of it. Trail shoes recommended.
Our HQ for the event is the Barnbow Social Club, Manston Lane, Leeds LS15 8ST. There is no parking at the club (paying patrons only we’re afraid) but road parking near and around the streets is available. Please please please car share where possible as the spaces aren’t endless and there is an industrial site close by.
The race start is a 10 min walk or a 5 min jog away so give yourself plenty of time.
The HQ will be open from 9am, where you’ll be able to come store your clubs gear in the function room and use the toilets. Out of courtesy to the Barnbow all we ask is no muddy trainers inside the venue.
Our friends at Big Bobble Hats will be at the HQ for you to pick up that hat you envied on your fellow runner at the Pudsey event!
We have a motto at our club ‘no run no bun’ so please come celebrate the debut event with a tea or coffee and a cake, many of them baked by our own fair hands. Go green and bring your own mug for your cuppa. Hot drinks will be available before the race for those spectators who need to warm up.
We also have a raffle that you can try your luck too. (Further donations greatly appreciated!)
We’re excited to host an event this season, hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed planning and organising it!

South Leeds Lakers event details

SOUTH LEEDS LAKERS are pleased to announce the Course and Details for Race 4 of the West Yorkshire Winter League.  The Race takes place at 10am on SUNDAY JANUARY 20th
at The John Charles Centre for Sport Leeds LS11 5DJ. Please park in the overflow car park or on street. The Race HQ is The Phoenix Bar to the right of the main stand - PLEASE NO MUDDY SHOES IN THE BUILDING. 
Lockers and Showers are available for a small fee as the stadium is Council owned.
The race takes place 2 minutes jog away on Middleton Clearings.
The Race is 8.3km ( 5 mile ) starting with a loop of The Clearings before heading off into the Woods on 90% Trail with some broken Tarmac.
The Course is 1 and a half laps.
At last check the course was not very muddy but Trail Shoes are advised. The course is narrow in parts so please be kind to each other.
 Middleton Park is a public park so please be respectful to other park users.
 After the Race please join us in the Phoenix Bar for Refreshments ( Hot Dogs and Buns ) and the famous WYWL Raffle before the keenly awaited Results.
