Date: Sunday 21st January 2024
Start Time: 10:00am
Race Venue/HQ:
Middleton Clearings.
HQ - The HQ is the Phoenix Bar LS11 5DJ (Enter the South Leeds Stadium and turn right) - No Muddy shoes in the Stadium.

Car Parking:
Please use the overflow Car park (Right at the Roundabout) as the main stadium is 3 hours max, there should be enough parking, after that it will be on street.

Facilities:
The stadium has showers which you can use for a small fee (please see the reception desk), then we move into the Phoenix Bar where there will be tea/coffee and food (Chilli, Veg Chilli and Hot Dogs).
There will also be the famous Lakers Raffle!!!

Course:
We start with a mile lap of the Clearings before heading off into the woods (mud, fallen branches, leaves etc), we re-enter the clearings at the bottom and do another half lap of the woods before cutting off onto the top of the clearings where it's a fast downhill sprint finish!!
Footwear - I did it on New Years eve and it was a definite Mud claw course, it may have dried out but better safe than sorry.

Please continue to drive on Storthes Hall Lane until you see a parking marshal by the old Storthes Hall hospital. They will direct you to the designated parking areas. The After-Party - Please join us after the race for a drink and a good old raffle at The Clothiers Arms, Stocksmoor, HD4 6XN. The pub will be open from 11am. Pie and peas will also be available to purchase on the day.
Please leave muddy shoes outside.

Course:
The course is approx 5 miles long. It starts close to the parking area, heading straight into Storthes Hall Woods for 2 clockwise laps. The course has it all - beautiful woodland, streams, tree roots, plenty of mud, and some not so flat bits…..
It then brings you back into the hospital grounds to finish. There will be lots of marshals out on the course to look after you, along with plenty of tape to follow.
Please be aware that the woods are a popular dog walking spot so look out for walkers too.

Have a fab Christmas everyone! We look forward to welcoming you all in the new year!

There is also a small car park at the Golf Club, further residential parking in the area behind and another small car park on the right towards the moor, past the cattle grid. Please see attached map.

The Rugby clubhouse will be open early for number and wristband collection from your Club Rep. Please arrive in good time.

Course:
The race starts at 10.30am and is the same as previous years on the beautiful Baildon Moor, near Baildon Golf Club which is a 5-minute jog from our Rugby Club HQ. Trail shoes will be fine unless we get a lot of rain before the race where a better grip would be advantageous.

The start will run up the side of the 18th golf fairway, but we anticipate golfers will not have reached the 18th by 10.30am. They will however be using the nearby 1st tee and we ask that you respect our good friends at the Golf Club doing their chosen sport and keep away from that area.
